Betty Stevens closing after 56 years

Betty Stevens Cosmetology Institute in Florence will close after 56 years in business, according to one of its owners, Rita Andrews-Buck.
Buck said the closing of the location on Second Loop Road has nothing to do with money, but rather health issues with she and other owners.
Buck said they’ve refunded money to students enrolled this semester for classes.
She said they’re looking for someone to buy the building to either start another cosmetology school or to use as a salon.
